I have lots of updates I hope to make soon – the cutting table is finished, studio is mostly set up, and some exciting gardening plans are underway! I’m in the middle of getting my old house ready for sale, however, so updates have to wait.
I did sneak in some time this week to *gasp* sewing something, however. These sweet little pleated pouches were started in early 2015, and ended up in my unfinished project pile when they were nearly complete. It only took an hour to finish them up. They’re based on this tutorial, though I decided not to square off the corners for this batch. I think the pointed corners and curved bottoms make them look like little skirts or aprons.
The one on top is my favorite – it’s just so happy with the blue and red flowers and a bright green lining.
I also like this pink, aqua, and orange one with the sweet little bird.
It’s lined with a coordinating print that brings out a bit more of the grey and orange in the design.
A few have already been claimed by friends, and I hope to get the rest of these pleated pouches up in the SwellegantDesign Etsy shop once things settle down a bit.
