As I mentioned in my last post, I have been so ready for spring! This little hexie pincushion has been a bright spot in my studio over the winter and now it’s inspiring my spring projects.

I think everyone should have at least one pretty pincushion in their craft room. This is a classic shape that can look retro or modern depending on the colors and fabrics you choose.
It’s also perfect for using up small scraps and odd buttons. While my favorite is the pink and aqua version, it looks great in other colors, too!
The hexagons are made with a technique called English paper piecing. Never heard of it? No worries! All the steps are fully explained and illustrated, so this is a great project for beginners. It also comes with a bonus pattern for an emery strawberry.
